Lovely Garden Stamp Set

I am currently getting ready to demonstrate the Stampaholic stamp positioner for Fat Cats Card Corner at the June Papercraft Expo. I used the large flower from the Lovely Garden Stamp set as the main focus of the design but the aim of the card is to show repeat stamping using the stamp positioner in a fool proof way. I used the smallest lace stamp from the Elegant Borders stamp set with different coloured inks. The flower and leaves were  coloured with pencil. I used a mask when stamping the backgrounds and also while adding the ink around the edges of the flower and leaves. The top part of the card was stamped with my old friend Vintage Letter stamp. I added a hint of green ink around the edges of the card. This is a one layer card.

This second card was done similarly but I wanted to revisit my faux embroidery technique. I stamped the image with Palette clear ink then embossed with Stampendous White Detail embossing powder. The extra lines were added with a white gel pen. I coloured the edges with white pencil then added some gold pencil to the inside petal areas. I used my white gel pen again to add the grid pattern to the petals. I used a mask while stamping the lace border on the bottom half of the card with Palette Gold Metallic ink and then the Music Score background stamp with Palette Metallic Silver ink on the top part of the card. I also masked the flower and leaves and added some gold ink around the outer edges. The sentiment comes from a Penny Black die set. Adhesive pearls were added to the centre of the flower and in the bottom left hand corner to finish it. It was mounted onto gold metallic card then onto the white card base.

I hope you like both of these cards but I only just found out that the Lovely garden stamp set may have been discontinued. We do still have some in stock but I will have to do this again with another stamp so watch this space.

More of Fran's Metal Stencils.

I had a customer who ordered just one of the new Filigree stencil designed by Fran Seiford. When she got her order she couldn't remember why she wanted it. She definitely wasn't interested in the new Shoe stencil either, but after I handed her the sample cards I had done with both stencils she ordered both. She also took a few of the Cling Shoe stamp sets as well. My job is done, lol.

The white embossing medium (paste) has glitter all over it but it's hard to see in this picture. Very pretty in real life.

I dry embossed and coloured the whole shoe with grey ink. I placed the filigree stencil over the first one and added black embossing medium (paste). I added black micro glitter to the shoe body and black flock to the flower. I don't know about you but I'd wear it!

New stencil and Stamp set from Stampendous

These two cards were designed with the intention of marrying the new compass stencil with the boats stamp set. Before you ask, no, there is no die for the stencil. It was hand cut with a craft knife.

I taped the beach scene off so that I didn't end up with a 'corner'. I used coloured pencils and a white gel pen for the highlights.

One layer card topper. I used the matching dies to create my masks. I used inks for the sky and coloured pencils for the waves.
