Today I want to share with you a few card designs done by Terry and Glenda who are class members of mine but also great cardmaking teachers in their own right. All the stamps used are in the Stampendous range.
The first two cards were made by Terry. He chose to make a double Z card with the new Laurel Burch Mermaid set.
LBCRS03 Mermaid Fish
This second card is a beautiful Diorama card featuring the new Pink Your Life Pirates Clear Stamp Set.
This project isn't really a card but a beautiful box made by Glenda. She incorporated stamps from the Pink Your Whisper Fly Clear Stamp Set as well as the new Happy Birds Clear Stamp Set.

SSC1255 Happy Birds
This last project is mine. I melted embossing powder in and around the jar to create an ocean backdrop ( lots of different Embossing Enamels and powders) and sandy ocean floor (Golden Sand embossing powder). I used brown paper clay in the bottom of the jar to create a rock. All the shells were coloured and then placed in the jar. To get then to stay upright and not move around I glued each piece to piece of bamboo skewer. The fish are hanging from the lid on thin slivers of acetate. The shells on the lid were made from paper clay and then coloured by using Pearlustre Embossing Powders over them when they were dry. Thanks Glenda for the inspiration and help with some technical details.
Okay, I am officially nuts.
I stamped the honeycomb, then the bees over the honeycomb. I then stamped the bees onto a separate piece of card and vellum. I coloured the honeycomb and the bee bodies on both the card and the separate piece. I taped around the outside of the card and coloured the background with some brown Palette ink. I removed the tape and have an instant mat. The crazy part comes next. I cut out the vellum wings and then the bee bodies. The wings and bodies were glued together and then mounted over the bees on the card front with foam squares. The sentiment is part of the set. Talk about fiddly but the end result was worth it.
